The Jewish Quarter
Today was a beautiful day in Jerusalem-at least 60 F and sunny!! We went into the Jewish quarter of Old Jerusalem. There are 4 quarters to the old city-Armenian, Jewish, Muslim, and Catholic. We are now talking about the 2nd Temple period and so we learned about King Herod and his rule over Jerusalem. We saw the ruins of houses where the Kohanim(high priests) lived and saw the Roman influence on the architecture.
